Mafigeni Safari Lodge, comprises of privately situated chalets/units, swimming pool, an outdoor Boma and a sensational thatched Lapa. Guests can enjoy:
* a starry night next to the outside open fire;
* relax and enjoy the breeze on the open plan veranda;
* welcome the warmth of the fireplace in the lounge on a chilly day or night;
* feast at the magnificent Matumi dining room table or
* recount the days' activities around the fully stocked bar.
Views that span bushveld as far as the eye can see, can be enjoyed from the Lapa and secluded look-outs.
Each thatched chalet/unit, has an enchanting view of the bushveld from the bedroom. Serviced daily, chalets have en-suite bathroom facilities and feature unique African decor. Designed to merge with the surrounding bushveld, the essence of Mafigeni Lodge is "Comfort in harmony with Nature". With a maximum of 14 guests at any one time, an extremely high level of personal attention is assured and guests leave Mafigeni with new-found knowledge and friendships.
Light breakfasts are served in the early hours of the morning (6 am - 8 am) and a hearty lunch is served round about 12:30 am. At night, home-style 3 course meals are served - all with a traditional touch, both in presentation and preparation. Fine South African wines can be enjoyed with dinners.

ACTIVITIES AT MAFIGENI SAFARI LODGE
On the Mafigeni property, we offer guests a variety of services, activities and amenities, some of which are:
Nature walks - Trail distances are tailored to suit individual guests. Game may be stalked and viewed at close range and an abundance of bird varieties all adds to the experience of being at one with nature. Guests are guided by knowledgeable staff who will open up a new world to you.

Game drives in open safari vehicles Guests may enjoy day and/or night drives. The best time for game viewing is early morning and late afternoon, as wild animals usually bed down during the heat of the day. Night drives give guests the opportunity of sighting nocturnal animals such as serval, aardvark, bushbaby, genet, porcupine and various nocturnal birds.
R75 per person per hour.
Game viewing on horseback - Early morning, late afternoon and moonlight rides (during full moon only) are tailored to suit guests horsemanship. Experienced staff accompany all rides and first time riders welcome. Enjoy an hour or more (depending on your riding skills) in the bushveld on well-schooled horses, suitable for all levels of horsemanship. Riders can encounter over 15 plains game species.
