Namibia Full Circle

Etosha, Twyfelfontein, Skeleton Coast  & Sossusvlei

11 Day/10 Night Safari

A Safari in Namibia is a journey of the soul. This is a country of vivid contradictions and stark beauty, where undulating desert tumbles over towering dunes to meet a tempestuous coastline.

This country of contrasts delivers diverse landscapes, unique people, huge vistas, loads of sunshine and considerable wildlife. Some of the greatest wonders of the natural world are to be found in Namibia, including the oldest desert on earth, the   Namib Desert. Come and enjoy the silence, which is only broken by your thoughts!

THE ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK is one of the largest and most prominent game reserves in Africa. The park is home to approximately 145 animal species, which includes some endangered species such as the black rhino, cheetah and black-faced impala. This fascinating park is also home to a bird   population of some 340 species and an important breeding ground for the greater and lesser flamingos in Southern Africa.

The main area of the Etosha National Park is covered by a huge salt pan, 129km long and up to 72km wide. During the rainy season, the pan resembles a huge lake, but this soon evaporates during the dry season, leaving behind a shimmering sediment causing mirages to play havoc on the eyes. A visit during the dry season, May to October, is certainly the most rewarding time for game viewing. Huge herds of game assemble at the waterholes in the early mornings and before dusk, entertaining the audience with their many antics.

TWYFELFONTEIN means "doubtful Fountain" or "fountain of doubt" is situated in the Damara highlands. This region is most famous for its many rock paintings and rock engravings of the San Bushmen. Remarkably these engravings were made without the use of metal tools and it is presumed that quartz tools were used instead. Hunting scenes and animal engravings are depicted as well as an interesting engraving of a seal, as the ocean is over 100 km away.

The sand dunes of SOSSUSVLEI in the Namib Desert are often referred to as the highest dunes in the world. The best time to view Sossusvlei is close to sunrise and sunset; the colours are strong and constantly changing, allowing for wonderful photographic opportunities

The SKELETON COAST is situated on Namibia's remote Western coastline and is so named after the many ships that sank here over the past few centuries. There are few attractions as evocative and atmospheric as The Haunting Skeleton Coast. The rusted remains of wrecked ships are often surrounded by swirling mists and make for moody and dramatic visuals.
